My Birthday 2009

Nothing eventful at workplace during my birthday. Ok.. colls forgets bout it already.. so sad! A sign that i should leave this sad place!!! Wahahaha.. wad a reason!

On friday night, went to meet daddy, pq, irene n lz with daddy. This daddy dunwan to come fetch me when i called him. It's fine coz i agak-agak he going to do something that is related to me.

We met at Cathay coz we wanna go Aston.. Goshhh.. the queue is terrible.
As Irene and daddy is driving, we decided to change venue and we went Holland village instead.

I chosed Chicago steakhouse coz i wanna eat steak.. hmm its yummy and i get 2 bottles of complimentary beer. haha.. and the guy sings birthday song along with his guitar.. fun!

After dinner, we went this shop called Monkey(something, i cannot remember) for another round of drinks. Crap till 1am+ and its time to go home.. Shit.. i still need to work the next day.

11 July 2009, woke up, go to work like a zombie. Off work, balik rumah tidur. Wake up, bathe and get ready for dinner with Uncle George. He brought me to Jewel Box. The menu is not extensive.

I ordered a Seafood Thermidor($30++) yummy but too creamy.... Get abit sick of it after some time.

They do sell some Asian cuisine as well. Food there is not cheap!! Uncle George is still hungry even after i donated some of my scallop,prawns and salmon to him!!!

While eating, I saw few tables celebrating their birthday as well. Waiter bringing a slice of birthday cake to the birthday gal/guy. Then i saw the waiter bringing out a whole cake. Then i told uncle George, ooh.. there's another birthday girl/guy. Surprise, Surprise, the cake is for me!!! :)

After dinner, we went to Vivocity for more food. haha. Dad called me and said he is helping me celebrate my birthday with all my uncles and aunties by having a feast @ Yong Peng without my existince.... Grrrrr...

After serious considereation(haha) we settle down at Serenepidity. It serves Spanish food.
I ordered a Sangria while uncle George ordered H1N1. Amazingly, H1N1 is nice... it's vodka+cranberry+..... cannot remember.

Bangkok 2009

On the 2nd day of our Thailand trip, we took a bus from Pattaya North Road bus station to Bangkok. The fare is less than 100 baht.


After reaching Mo chit bus terminal, we took a taxi to our inn. It is situated near Khaosan. The fare from Mo chit to Khaosan is about 110 baht.

WE checked in, check-out the pool before going to Chatuchak.

















We took a taxi to Chatuchak market. The jam was horrible. I was very dissapointed coz i could not find the stall that sell fresh prawns. But i did manage to eat a variety of food. BBQ squid, cream puff, mango and the list go on...

Bought lots of t-shirts at less than 100 baht. The cheapest i got was 39 baht. haha.. real cheap...

After Chatuchak, we went back to Khaosan. It was massage again after dinner.. Shiok..

The next day, we went floating market. I actually set the alarm wrongly and i woke up at 7am when the van is suppose to come pick us up at 7am.. haha. Rush rush rush..

We were in the same van as a few ang moh from brazil, england and dunno where la.. daddy know more coz he is the PR. After the 2 hours ride, we finally reach Damnoen Saduak floating market.

Something used during the olden days

After the floating market, we were sent back to Khaosan where we took a tuk-tuk to Chinatown.. This is the first time i ride in a quiet tuk-tuk.. Tis is so no fun at all...

The weather isn't kind on us... coz it started to rain.. then we hafto hide at a stall selling bird nest. A small bowl for 50 baht.. hehe.. nice..

After the rain stop, we walked to Hualamphong station.

We took a train to Siam Paragon. But in the end we choose to rest and have some bites at dunkin' donuts opposite Siam PAragon.

After some time, we were bored so we took the train to Lumphini, Suan Lum bazaar.. Selling everything similar to everywhere in Bangkok. But there's no crowd there and it is so boring.. after exploring abit we took a cab back to Khaosan where we bathe, go jalan-jalan, eat and massage!!!!

Tat's the end of the trip and its time to face reality.. go back to work the next day!

Pattaya July 2009

Its another Thailand trip. My 3rd trip to Thailand in less than 2 years time.
Organized this trip coz daddy claimed that its been a long long time since he last visited Thailand plus air ticket was cheap!

4am, step out of the house to get a cab to airport. Had Mc D for breakfast! Happy meal for me.. the rest was like.. Duh.. when i start playing with the toys, check in, do nothing, walk here walk there.. In the end me and uncle george settle ourselves by enjoying a leg massage using the OTO leg massager at the waiting area.

Finally its time for us to board the plane. Get my beauty sleep and soon we are in Suvarnabhumi airport. Hmm.. tis time i dun feel tat excited.
Wander around looking for bus to PAttaya. Was hounded by some taxi driver who offered to send us to Pattaya at 800 baht after seeing us not keen with their offer. They reduced the price from 1200 baht to 800 baht automatically.

Finally, we found the ticket place. It is located at Level 1 near to Gate 8. A one way ticket cost only 124baht and the journey take 2 hours.

Bus is pretty comfy with ample leg space, even for Uncle George.

We decided to walk to our hotel from the main road. Long walk indeed. But we see see look look along the way so it is not that bad. WE stopped by a stall for lunch. Chicken rice, braised pork and stewed soup!! Yum Yum... the meal cost 100++baht for 4 of us!

After checking in, we faster get changed and head the beach. Passed by this tourist Service Centre which does not offer much help. Most of the brochures there are in Thai and Korean, very helpful indeed. The crabby looks cute though.

Then i saw this speed boat with the name 'Kwan Chai'. Sounded like coffin in mandarin.

After walking around, we took a speedboat to the place for para-sailing. We bargain the price from 500 baht to 300 baht for a return trip.

Only Uncle George got his 'flying' picture taken... nobody help the rest of us take picture coz the whole process was juz too fast.. It was nice flying high.. I would love to do that again... DAddy is so fortunate... he got to go around 3 rounds while me n pq only 1 round! isshh...

After para-sailing, we decided to immersed ourselves in the water as the weather is too hot. Saw the local there used a dead fish as bait to lure the sea worm out.. Very interesting indeed but no pics.. (I am very lazy to take pix)

Around 4pm, we head back for our shower and go hunting for seafood. Could not find a good restaurant and anyhow settled on one as we are in a hurry for our Tiffany's Caberet Show. Dare not order their seafood as the fish in the tank were dying. We ordered cocktails that taste weird... The food is not nice either..

The show was very entertaining... lotsa shinning shimmering costumes.. but i kept on picking on these lady-boys bruises... lotsa blue black...

After the show, we went to walking street. The driver seems to ignore our request at first but he still drive there.. and it was very jam. He seems very unhappy but his face was all smile when we give him a 50baht tips...

Along the walking street is numerous pubs, restaurant, go-go bars and people like him.

We walked all the way to Pattaya 2nd Road. Bought banana prata there. Nice nice.. Tat fella who made the prata got 'tie sha zhang'. He can cook using his hand while his hand is not cooked! Then we came across this cart full with bears!! muz be heavy!

The next day, we had our breakfast and finally ride on the song-theaw to Pattaya North Road bus station.


Off to Bangkok!
