Projek Negeri Selat

Inspisred to update my blog after reading some blogs.

An update of last month event. Finally somebody decided to take my sis of the shelves.
Her ROM was on a Tuesday so I decided to do a bit of Jalan-Jalan cari makan trip during the weekend.

Started my journey on a Friday night after work.
First stop, Melaka Ban Li xiang satay celup. (Everyone tell me it's not nice, but well, I have to tried it for myself)

Well, The verdict: Not fantastic at all. I seriously won't go again. I feel like puking after that.

After that meal, my driver say he is tired so I took over the wheels where i meet a crazy BMW. Don't dare to drive too fast and yet won't let people overtake him.  Stupid.. A very tiring drive from Melaka to KL.

Reach KL, faster go to bed and rest to prepare ourselves for the next day activities.
Started the day with dim sum breakfast. ermm.. forgot the place name. Anyway, it's nice.
Then off we go for some shopping, massage then makan again... OF coz.. we will never leave booze out of our itinerary!

I got myself 3 1 Litre mugs in 1 night. (Basically we drank like 6 pints to get it)

Day 2
Woke up early in the morning! Grumpy!!!
Off  we go to LCCT. Early morning flight to Penang.

I would like to thank Mr. Bryan Lim for being such a good host... He picked us up from the airport and one of his suggestion for our very first activity is MINUM! Siao betul!

We went to this Wang Chao Jun for some steamed hor fun. I like it!

It was a really hot day. We went up hiding in Gurney Plaza to avoid the scorching sun. We went on a Tau Sar Piah searching mission after some coffee at Dome.

I went to this shop, Ghee Hian  that looks like its out to ketuk all the tourist. Very very attitude auntie inside.. (She told my friend not to open the Jar if they are not buying.)ANyway, they told us the tau sar piah are all sold out but they have some for the tour bus that arrived after us. IRRITATING! THIS SHOP IS BANNED!!!!

So we drove around in search of more tau sar piah but most of the shops are closed on Sunday.
Finally, we found this Dragon Pearl Shop.. Hidden Gem.. Their tau sar piah or rather known as the dragon pearl taste much better than Ghee Hiang

Task completed. Balik rest for our next stop.

Went to some places for dinner and drinks. Once again, my memory failed me.. I can't remember where we went. But we did go Straits Quay.. hahahaha

Next morning, wake up, grumpy. All because i did not eat my penang Char Kway Teow yet. As Bryan need to work, we do not have our personal tour guide anymore. So we went round walking around Bukit Jambul. With the help of foursquare, I manage to locate Penang laksa instead.

Slurp!

It is a sunny day. While walking back to the serviced apartment, we came across a cendol stall...
Makan time again.

 Cendol Pulut

After so many calories intake, i start to feel guilty. So of we went for a swim before flying back to KL. I was forced to do 10 laps in preparation for my OWD. Well, my strokes are getting better though. Thanks to Mr. Richard, my swimming coach.

After swimming, shower and it's time for lunch. Nearby the apartment there is this very famous 'Original Kayu Nasi Kandar'. Something i never try before as well. I usually have kopi or teh at Kayu but have not really eaten there.
RM13 Nasi Kandar!

After Lunch, balik KL for meet Gie's in-law dinner! (Gie's event will be in another posting)

Continue with projek negeri Selat after Gie's ROM.

Went to Kajang for their Hot & Spicy Soup for lunch. Our dear GPS, food directory is down this time. I have to search the place using Foursquare.  And we manage to find it!!!

Kee V Hua Diao Chicken(I miss it!)

The famous 'Lat Tong'
Careful, it's hot!

Stopped by Melaka once again before heading to Singapore for the famous Nadeje cake. I used to drool when i see people posting picture of it on facebook.

My Mango Mille Crepe @ Nadeje
Like what the shop says, one is never enough. So here is my 2nd Mille Crepe. Mocha Mille Crepe

Turning into a big fat ger!
Projek Negeri Selat is a success!
