Say la see sunrise… dun hv also… he is a cheat!!! Not his fault oso… slight drizzle and it was a cloudy morning. In his mind must be thinking if Cameron raining he jialat la… coz the trip consider spoilt. He drive quite fast also… it’s a holiday… can’t u juz relaks. Base on the itinerary… he try 2 make it exactly to the minute… siau 1… like kayu.
2 hours later, reach Tapah rest stop, go pee pee, strech legs abit… then get 100 plus, Pringles and some sweets. Damn crowd lo the stop, need to park a bit further… princess leh… ask me to walk… minus points again! Plus he too a stupid picture of me… say test camera… like I buy it *rolling eyes*
Moving from there we head to Tapah exit, which I also dun know where.. the road size like the Minyak Beku road la… 2 lanes, narrow… kampong houses at the side. Tat’s only the start, then it start 2 get zig zag here slowly climbing up the Titiwangsa range, where the road stick to the hill… meaning after the outer lane is the cliff. Some car hog the road like real vacation… my stressful driver cut only la.
Half way got waterfall, he say go take picture… damn mountain tortoise la he.. take oso 1 or 2 only. By the time we start driving… the road hog is in front again… too bad. Mountain tortoise kena stay behind the tortoise again. So he became lazy… summore off aircon and drive.
Reach some where he say too early to check in… so go yumcha… follow signboard ‘Boh Plantation’ turn into some narrower road.and zig zag again… but this time need to horn coz of blind corners (something new to me)… suddenly need to reverse and park aside… some tea lori driving from the opposite direction heading out… waited for 5mins.
Finally reaching the plantation… and tien gong shines on me… and the drizzle stops. Haha… this is only my first tien gong blessing… more to come. I tell you… the wind was damn chilling… especially after the drizzle. We spotted a trail which suppose to There was a trail up a hill around 200m. The guide look at me and say… u can ar? Of course la… who scared who… and off we went. The view up there is unobstructed with a reasonable amount of breeze. There is where my hood came in handy… =D
My stressful guide
aiks got pimples.. not nice
Her Royal Highness Princess
Spent around half hour shooting every corner of the hill and came down. Checked out the souvenir shop…. they only sell tea… tea… and more tea leaves. As we have burn some calories running up the hill, we grab a sandwich and a pot of tea to keep us warm. While I was sieving the tea a sudden breeze blew and the tea ended up every where… of course I jump out of my chair. Saw some angmoh kids warped up like bak chang… damn cute I tell u.
With all the wind blowing, the idiot guide with me was totally cold blooded, no rasa at all!!! While I need shield myself from the cold in bright orange cardigan, he slumber only in shorts. Minus more points!!! Maybe tat’s why his nicknamed lizard.
As we hop on the car, drizzle started again… told you about tien gong blessing me! We left the place heading out… cars start to come in… I tell you… the courtesy of the driver quite bad lor… give way also dun wan to wave thanks.
Next stop Tanah Rata… where we had our lunch in some Chinese coffee shop. Nuting great except tien gong blessing me again by stopping the rain when I get off and on to the car. Other than that, there was an old post office, starbucks (which I was force to pose for a picture), plus the traffic on the road was building up.
Time to check-in… and the guide over shoot the chalet’s entrance (minus points again). Once entered, the place look like the typical old English house… it was formally used as a school. Checking in got mixed up with another guest, which the transaction needed to be reversed. When they show us the room, we were to only occupant on that floor… and the floor creaks… sounds eerie ya. Time for a quick nap before continuing… must also pity my driver rite… my precious life in his hands leh.
Sleep half way ppl start checking in… the commotion waked me up… argh… me being a light sleeper… lucky not my driver snoring.. if not die la… in total we only managed to sleep for 1 hour. With the frustration, we decided to be on the move… next stop Kea’s Farm.
While heading to Kea’s Farm which I what place is that, the traffic was a stop and go at Brinchang. A detour and yet traffice is still crawling. Some of the Land Rovers cut the kerbs and go through… while the rest crawl along for 5km. Driver found a lot, straight away park, then walk a distance lor… wat to do
Kea’s Farm is just like pasar malam, with fresh fruits, strawberry, cactus, flowers and tongkat ali (thou only 1 miserable stall). We started looking for Angie’s chills. It looks like chilli popcorn which should really pop your mouth. We also bought some apple looking guavas and dried strawberries.
Before leaving, guide ask me to buy fried cendawan and fried ‘kim cam’ from a stall. It like soggy French fries only. After makan only realise that is ??. Thou fried, it taste cold. Conclusion, whatever food you buy at CH will turn cold out in the open, irregardless how hot was.
I dun like strawberry, but still the guide say part of the itinerary... then mar go lor. Had chocolate strawberry with ice cream. Siap makan, turn over to Equatorial Hotel looks see looks see… tien gong bless again… rain when I’m in the car, not when I’m outside. Or is it a sign to head back. Head back it is than. Jam jam jam back again to Brinchang town.
This time we park and buy water and coke for mixer. Guide hungry again… ask to eat steamboat.. tat was 6pm… a bit early rite?? Fine… I won’t complain yet... sat down only… kena garlic breeze… ewhhh… wanted leave… floor manager go remove it. It was a bucket full of garlic, size of a 5 litres mineral water. Food was served and a dumb waitress start to place the garlic out in the open again. This whole ding dong of in and out happen 4-5 times while I was eating. The best part when I was full, the thing came out… immediately I wanted to vomit. Quickly paid and went off.
By this time it was dark, and the breeze was still very chilly. My toes were exposed in slippers to the freaking breeze… argh… guide can only block the direct breeze but not the toes… faster into the car!!! I was relive once in the car… until the driver sabo me… he turn the a/c to blow feet before starting the engine (minus all the points!!!)… my poor toes… this time I really whack him kau kau.
Back to the chalet, had a quick shower and on the tele, nuting much except HBO. Pop a bottle of red wine and start playing scissors, paper stone… dice edition. This is where tien gong really bless me la… I won 15 / draw 4 / lose 1… haha loser!!!
